IdeasFromElse[W]here is an Arts Laboratory project led by the drawing shed lead artists Sally Labern and Bobby Lloyd and co-curated by artist Jordan McKenzie. From the project base in Winns Gallery E17 (and throughout Lloyd Park), from June 16 – July 13 2014, artists and members of the public will came together to collectively engage in art-making and the sharing and exploration of creative ideas. Opening up, demystifying and extending the processes of devising, making and presenting art, this ‘festival of ideas’ incorporated live art performance, film, dance, live writing, text, sculpture, sound, and new media, with provocations and responses from artists and public participation continually informing and evolving the project. This blog is an extension of the physical project space, with different artists contributing, developing, and reconfiguring the content.

- JUNK a fun[d]raiser – public auction of prints and zine boxes that IdeasFromElse[W]here artists are adding to over the course of the project residency – Thursday 10 July, 5.30-7.30pm

the drawing shed is a contemporary arts project led by visual artists Sally Labern and Bobby Lloyd. Based on two housing estates in London E17 since 2009, its mobile studios – the drawing shed, ClayOven and PrintBike – alongside its project space, LockUpNumber11, form central platforms for the drawing shed’s work across London and further a-field. the drawing shed is supported by a diverse range of local, regional and national partners with regular funding from Arts Council England and Waltham Forest Council.
